Alternate post title: Risk-y business? I just couldn’t decide.
Risk: the movie? How is this possible? Will it be like the classic 80s movie Cloak & Dagger?
Risk is easily one of my favorite board games. If you get the right group of people together and the right amount of alcohol (not too much), spending 6-8 hours rolling dice is somehow the most exciting thing in the world. My parents’ set from the 70s is a prized possession.
Apparently this movie was greenlit based on the success of movies such as Transformers and G.I. Joe. I’m not sure of the correlation here, except maybe that Risk is also owned by Hasbro. Evidenced by the fact that there is now a Transformers version of Risk
Oh, and if you are one of the people who always goes for Australia and then just camps out there all game, I’m going after you no matter what the cost.
